On behalf of our entire educational staff, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in the Humboldt Unified School District. HUSD offers a secure and supportive environment while providing a quality, comprehensive education, preparing students to meet the challenges of the future.
We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your student(s). In order to start the enrollment process, please contact the school(s) that your student(s) will be attending to discuss the process. To confirm your home school, click the School Boundaries link to the left. Enrollment forms are also available via the link to the left, or you may pick up a packet at your school’s front office.
Options to Enroll
New to Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD) - Click this link (family/student has never attended a HUSD school before)
Click ‘Create a New Account’ and fill out each section completely.
Returning to Humboldt Unified School District - Click this link (Student did not attend in the previous school year or currently not enrolled in HUSD but has been a HUSD student at a previous time)
Please call the school to indicate the intent to re-enroll. You will utilize your existing ParentVUE account to re-enroll or verify your student’s previous information. The school can create an activation key or you may log in using the Forgot Password feature if needed.

STEPS for New and Returning to HUSD Families:
- Click on this link to verify which school is your home school. If you wish to enroll in a different school, please call their office first.
- Complete all the forms through the secure ParentVue online format and submit.
- The school will review your information and send you an email confirmation that the enrollment was received by the school.
- Stop by the office with the necessary required documentation (see below)
- Lastly, a second email when the enrollment has been accepted/completed.
Required Documentation to Bring:
• Original/Certified Birth Certificate
• Current Immunization Records (by law, MUST be provided within 5 days of entering the classroom)

• Proof of Residency (i.e. copy of water, gas, electric bill, lease agreement, etc.)
Additional Documentation as Applicable:
• Notarized guardianship/temporary custody documents
• Court documents for sole/restricted parental contact
• Proof of 8th-grade certification of passing, if entering as a 9th grader from a district other than HUSD
• School transcript of credits earned (High School only)
Free, Full-day Kindergarten
All HUSD elementary schools provide free, full-day Kindergarten! Students who are five (5) years of age prior to September 1st of the 2024-25 school year are invited to register.
Registration begins March 1st, 2024 on all campuses. Register your student online by clicking the link above. If you prefer, paper applications can be picked up at your school’s office, or you may download the forms and bring them along with the required documentation. The Registration Paperwork is linked to the left.
Bright Futures Preschool
Bright Futures Preschool is committed to providing a safe and nurturing early childhood education that features growth and development where children are inspired to learn through exploration, discovery and friendships. This fee-based program is available for students who are 3-5 years old. Please call the preschool office at (928) 759-5130 for information and availability of our Preschool programs.
Open Enrollment
Register at any Humboldt school, no matter where you live! Open Enrollment applications are approved on an ongoing basis, some grade levels or campuses will have closed enrollment because of growing student populations. Please call the school to determine availability.
An Open Enrollment application needs to be completed for each student who wishes to enroll in a school outside of their boundary/area or any family outside of the District wishing to attend a Humboldt school. Applications need only be filled out initially, once approved administrators will review open enrollment status each Spring to confirm enrollment for the following school year.
