Welcome to the Humboldt Unified School District Student Support & Expectations Guide. This guide serves as a districtwide resource for students, families, and staff by outlining the expectations, rights, responsibilities, and supports that help create safe, respectful, and engaging learning environments across all HUSD schools.

While each school maintains its own handbook with site-specific procedures, this guide establishes the districtwide policies and practices that apply to all students. It includes information about student conduct, attendance, discipline, student rights and responsibilities, safety, technology use, transportation, and the many resources available to support student success.

At HUSD, we believe that every student can learn at high levels because of what we do. By working together with families, maintaining clear expectations, and providing meaningful support, we create schools where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

We encourage all students and families to review this guide together and refer to it throughout the school year.
