General Transportation Questions

1. How do I find my child’s bus route?
You can find your child’s bus route using InfoFinder. Simply enter your address to view the bus stop location, pick-up, and drop-off times.

2. What time should my child be at the bus stop?
Students should arrive at the bus stop 5-10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time to ensure they do not miss the bus.

3. What happens if the bus is running late?
If a bus is running significantly late, parents will be notified through the district’s communication system.

 


Safety and Behavior Questions

4. What are the basic bus rules my child should follow?
Students are expected to:

  • Remain seated.
  • Keep hands and feet to themselves.
  • Speak quietly.
  • Follow all instructions given by the bus driver.
     

5. What happens if my child breaks the bus rules?
Disorderly conduct or refusing to follow the rules may result in a referral and possible suspension from bus privileges. Riding the bus is a privilege, not a right, and we take this responsibility seriously to ensure the safety of all students.

6. Are students allowed to eat or drink on the bus?
No, for safety reasons and to protect students with food allergies, eating and drinking on the bus are not allowed.

 


Early Release and Special Schedule Questions

7. What time will the bus drop off on early release days?
Buses drop off 1 hour early every Wednesday and 2 hours early on designated early release days. Please check your school’s calendar for exact dates.


Alternate Stops and Special Requests

8. Can my child get off at a different stop?
Students can only get off at their assigned stop. If they need to get off at a different stop or use a different bus, a parent/guardian must contact our transportation prior to bus route.

9. What if I need to change my child’s bus stop?
Contact the Transportation Department if you need to request a change in your child’s assigned bus stop. Changes are subject to approval and available space on the bus.

 


Kindergarten and Special Circumstances

10. Does someone need to meet my kindergarten student at the bus stop?
Yes, a parent/guardian or designated person must be at the bus stop to meet kindergarten students, unless a Kinder Release form has been completed and returned.

11. What happens if no one is there to meet my kindergarten student?
If no one is present to meet the student, the bus driver will return the child to the school, or contact local law enforcement.

13. What should I do if I need to report a safety concern?
Safety is our top priority. Please report any concerns directly to the Transportation Department.
