Humboldt Unified School District's English Learners (EL) program is designed to enable student's success for second language learners. The program provides instruction in the development of English in accordance with Arizona's SEI Models. Our EL Department and the district also offers:

English learners actively and meaningfully participate in a comprehensive, world-class education from kindergarten through twelfth grade that allows them to attain high levels of English proficiency and mastery of grade-level standards.
Humboldt Unified School District responds to all English learners’ strengths and needs. Every educator recognizes and utilizes the unique assets EL's bring to the learning community. All employees actively promote the social and academic achievement of EL's through high expectations, the use of AZ ELP Standards in tandem with content standards, and an assets-based perspective that honors students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
