Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all of our schools and facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational to support the academic success and well-being of our students, staff, and community. We also manage facility rentals, property services, and a wide range of district projects designed to maintain and enhance our physical infrastructure.
Facility Rentals
HUSD is pleased to offer a variety of rental options for community events, business meetings, and educational purposes. Our schools and district buildings provide spaces that can accommodate different needs, from classrooms to large meeting rooms and gymnasiums. District Properties
Our facilities team is responsible for the care, maintenance, and improvements of all district properties. This includes nine campuses and various buildings that house educational programs, administration offices, and community services. Our team works to ensure that these spaces are welcoming, well-maintained, and optimized for learning and teaching.

- Regular Maintenance: Ensuring that buildings, classrooms, and outdoor areas are in good condition and ready for daily use.
- Landscaping & Grounds Care: Providing clean, safe, and attractive grounds for our students and staff.

District Projects
At Humboldt Unified School District, we are committed to enhancing our facilities and infrastructure. Our team is continuously working on both ongoing and new projects that support the district’s long-term goals of providing safe, modern, and energy-efficient learning environments.
Current and Recent Projects:
- HVAC System Updates: Upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems district-wide to ensure optimal air quality, comfort, and energy efficiency.
- Building Services: Ongoing improvements to district buildings, including accessibility upgrades, interior renovations, and exterior maintenance to keep our campuses functioning at their best.
- Grounds Maintenance & Beautification: Routine landscaping and major improvement projects to enhance the outdoor spaces for both educational and recreational use.
- Energy Efficiency Initiatives: Implementing green technologies, such as solar panels, energy-efficient lighting, and water-saving fixtures to reduce the district's environmental footprint.
- Safety & Security Enhancements: Upgrading security systems, including cameras, lighting, and fencing, to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Emergency Preparedness: Improving emergency evacuation routes, adding emergency kits in classrooms, and enhancing overall campus preparedness for natural disasters or other crises.
