Humboldt Unified School District proudly utilizes the Marzano Instructional Model. Rooted in research and best practices for instruction, the model is based on the work of John Hattie (2009; 2019) and Robert Marzano (2005; 2017). Providing instructional delivery in a manner consistent with the pedagogy is an important part of the Art that is the teaching profession. Adding to this discussion is the Science on brain-based learning, skills related to the 21st Century such as Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking, and monitoring effectiveness of instruction for achieving student outcomes consistent with curricular objectives.

This critical role acts as a mentor, coach, and partner in providing world-class instruction throughout the Humboldt Unified School District. These individuals believe that every child deserves the very best, and their role provides the necessary support to teachers to deliver on this promise.
