6th Grade Parent Meeting at GES Gym, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 6PM

On February 16th, the HUSD Governing Board approved a proposal to move the 6th grade to the elementary level effective the 2010-2011 school year.  The action was taken in response to transition considerations and concerns from a majority of our parents.  In making its decision, the Board carefully considered unique data related to positive behavioral and academic outcomes resulting from having 6th graders remain at the elementary schools.  Beginning this fall, HUSD will have five K-6 schools, one K-8 traditional school, two 7-8 middle schools and one 9-12 high school.

We would like to invite our parents to attend an informational meeting, your presence will be appreciated.  Thank you.
