Welcome to another fun-filled, academically challenging, successful school year. Humboldt Elementary is a school rich in history and pride. Our school has served our surrounding community with academic excellence for over 50 years. We have/had the unique opportunity to serve the academic needs of children from not only Humboldt, but also, Dewey, Quailwood, Prescott Country Club, a stretch of Hwy 69 to Poland Junction, and also out to Cherry Road along the 169 corridor.
Our school enrollment is right around the 300 student mark every year. This unique enrollment allows all staff to develop a close knit relationship with every student who attends our K-5 facility. Our veteran staff provides for a high-quality experience both inside and out of the classroom. We focus on providing each student with a personalized educational experience that won’t soon be forgotten. Students who have attended Humboldt Elementary talk about the many traditions we celebrate throughout the year, the caring staff, and a desire to return to the place where everyone knows them.
Academically, we challenge ourselves to stay abreast of the most current teaching strategies. In learning these “best practices,” we can provide your children with an exceptional education. Our dedicated staff continuously strives to develop themselves professionally. We are a facility dedicated to student success. Our highly qualified professional staff has the ability to assess, diagnose, and prescribe an appropriate and outstanding education to all the students they serve.
We provide for many after-school, extra-curricular opportunities. A child’s success is often dependent on being involved in other activities outside the school day. Our teachers and staff offer a wide array of opportunities for students such as: football, volleyball, track, tutoring, computer club, Student Council, co-op with Boys and Girls Club, and Art. Our list of activities is always growing and changing.
We are the proud “Home of the Pandas.” We are a true rural, community school. We sit nestled in Humboldt on top of a hill overlooking the history and nostalgia of the one-time boom town of Humboldt. We continue the tradition of ringing our 50+ year old bell to signify both the beginning and end of the school day. We take much pride in working for/with our surrounding communities. Our playground is shared with the community and used as the public park. We work closely with our local Little League who uses our field as a place to develop skills and sportsmanship via extra-curricular opportunities.
Our facility is unique in that we were once a middle school. Age does come with some rewards. We have a gymnasium that houses a parquet floor and full stage area. This is a wonderful accommodation when it comes to classes putting on theatrical, vocal, or any other school-wide assembly. We also have a playground that is large enough to accommodate our entire school, if need be.
As you can tell, we take much pride and honor in what we do at Humboldt Elementary. We take to heart the responsibility of providing a personalized quality education to every student who comes through our door.
