 Letter from the Principal

Welcome to Lake Valley Elementary - a 'Highly Performing' School!

Lake Valley Elementary School

On behalf of the faculty and staff I would like to welcome you to Lake Valley Elementary School. For those of you who are new to the area welcome to Prescott Valley and Lake Valley Elementary, Home of the Cubs! We know you will enjoy becoming a part of the Lake Valley community and will be impressed with the dedicated individuals that will be part of your child’s education.
Lake Valley Elementary School has established a strong tradition of caring for and providing students with the kind of opportunities that will enhance each day and secure their future. Our motto is “Never Settle for Less Than Your Best” and we create an environment that allows students to strive to reach their maximum potential.
We are excited to tell our Lake Valley families that for the first time ever we have received the AZ LEARNS profile of “Highly Performing.” Very few schools in the state of Arizona have accomplished this feat and I am very honored and proud of our faculty and staff along with our wonderful families we have here at LVES. It takes the “village” to raise student achievement and our staff would like to thank everyone for their support. Please click on our data link to see our AIMS scores compared to the district and state averages.
Our school, through voter approved building bond monies, has received two new pieces of playground equipment this year (one piece each for our 1st-5th grade and our kindergarten playgrounds). We are also in the final stages of installing a new outside water fountain for our students. With voter approved funds we will also be replacing our floor tile in the gymnasium and front foyer next summer.
Our character counts program has been much improved this year. Our culture/climate committee has been working on a renewed focus to support the six pillars of character. Our character counts traits include caring, trustworthiness, responsibility, fairness, respect and citizenship. We are devoting one day per month on activities that promote strong character education and the fine arts. These days coincide with our monthly spirit and pride assemblies that promote good character education.
As you can see we have many exciting things happening this school year and we hope you can become a part of your child’s education at LVES. Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns. My number is 759-4205 or you can certainly email me at daniel.brown@humboldtunified.com.

Thanks for your support,

Danny Brown, Principal
